We’re looking for a detail loving, target-smashing Groups & Events Executive to create unforgettable moments at The Hoxton, Edinburgh.
Reporting to the Groups & Events Manager, you’ll be responsible for converting enquiries to drive groups, meetings and events revenue into The Hoxton, Edinburgh.
We’ve opened our doors in Edinburgh’s charming West End - our very first Hox in Scotland. Set across 11 beautiful Georgian townhouses, we’re home to 214 bedrooms, a lively open lobby and bar, an all-day Italian trattoria Patatino, a retro‑inspired cinema, a flexible and super‑size event space called The Get Together, and The Apartment – our unique signature spot for meetings, private dinners and memorable gatherings.

- Manage the meetings and events enquiry process from start to finish, answering calls and emails, sending proposals, converting enquiries, invoicing and taking the event through the planning and logistical stage to handover to operations.
- Negotiate meeting & events rates with clients, in line with the selling guidelines, to assist in achieving the hotel’s revenue targets.
- Follow up with clients post event to get feedback and secure repeat business where possible.
- Champion positive collaboration across multiple areas of the business and cross‑sell all global Hoxton and Ennismore properties, where applicable, to maximise revenue opportunities across corporate segments.
- Ensure Opera Sales is up to date by putting inputting new enquiries into the system.
- Work individually and as part of a team to maximise conversion, employing strategies to hit targets, identifying challenges & opportunities to drive revenues.
- Manage the preparation and distribution of function sheets on a weekly basis and present in the weekly operations meeting to ensure that the teams have tip‑top handovers with all the details and communication they need to deliver incredible guest experiences.
- Conduct show arounds on property.
- Build good relationships with clients for repeat business, contacting and probing repeat clients when appropriate and track year on year trends and events to support repeat business.
- Effectively co‑ordinate activities related to booked meeting & event business with other departments, ensuring client’s expectations are met by maintaining team communication.
- Maintain excellent Hoxton product and brand knowledge, upselling wherever possible.
- And yes, there’s a little admin … ensuring that daily, weekly and monthly administration is completed accurately and that all groups have necessary documentation on file. But let’s face it, we know you love that!
