Overview
Mount Royal Hotel Edinburgh by The Unlimited Collection is seeking an engaging Assistant Food and Beverage Manager with a passion for great hospitality. You will report to the Food and Beverage Manager
, supporting and working towards providing guests with a memorable experience.
- Daily Operations:
Manage the daily operations of Front of House and Kitchen teams, oversee restaurant dinner service, and provide catering updates in hotel operations meetings. - Business Development:
Assist in developing business plans, identify commercial opportunities, and seek innovative ways to enhance guest experience and maximize income. - Event Support:
Offer operational support to the Events Team, manage event bookings and resource allocation through planning and rotas. - Team Management:
Recruit, train, mentor, and lead Front of House and Back of House staff, ensuring adherence to company standards and motivation for customer-focused service. - Service Standards:
Develop and maintain guest service standards, train the team in service delivery, and address non-compliance issues. - Financial Management:
Manage supplier relationships, oversee stock control and pricing, support financial performance, and maintain financial and administrative records.
- Experienced Hospitality Leader:
Managerial experience in hospitality and 4-star hotel restaurants, with preferred experience in a Rosette environment. - Customer Centric:
Strong customer service skills, confident and courteous manner, with experience handling complaints and requests. - Excellent Communicator and Organizer:
Clear and concise communication, outstanding organizational skills, and ability to multitask and troubleshoot. - Team Leader:
Proven team leading skills, well-organized, outgoing, and service-minded.
