Williams Lea seeks a Receptionist Team Leader to join our team!

Purpose of role:
As Reception Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our corporate reception service – a critical part of the client and colleague experience. You’ll lead a team of 3 receptionists, setting high standards, implementing best practices, and ensuring seamless, five‑star service at every touchpoint. This is an opportunity for an experienced front‑of‑house professional who thrives in a corporate environment and knows how to lead from the front with professionalism, polish, and presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide confident day‑to‑day leadership to the reception team, ensuring professional, courteous, and efficient service at all times.
  • Take ownership of the reception service line — developing procedures, setting standards, and ensuring consistency across the board.
  • Improve client care and help maintain relationships with key clients, promoting loyalty and long‑term engagement.
  • Act as the main point of contact for VIP guests, clients, and senior stakeholders, handling all queries with discretion and efficiency.
  • Own the management and execution of onsite office events, with the aim to create synergy with the Marketing team.
  • Provide cover for Perth and Glasgow offices, and if required, take the lead in providing absence cover in those offices, working in partnership with the other onsite team leaders.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Collaborate with facilities, security, and other business support teams to ensure the smooth running of all front‑of‑house operations.
  • Monitor team performance, manage rotas and cover, and support training and development.
  • Ensure all First Impression services, at each office, are achieving the baseline standard of service and seek opportunities to improve the environmental sustainability of the service – routinely reviewing hospitality, suppliers and products.
  • Review technology/software used in the service area and benchmark to see if efficiencies can be made.
Personal Attributes
  • Proven experience leading a corporate or professional services reception team — you’ve set standards, built teams, and delivered exceptional service.
  • Strong operational experience managing or owning a service line — you’re confident balancing people leadership with service delivery.
  • A natural communicator with presence and polish — someone who can build relationships at all levels, from clients to C‑suite.
  • Professional, proactive, and solutions‑focused — calm under pressure and always one step ahead.
Rewards and Benefits
  • 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays (pro‑rata for part‑time roles)
  • Salary sacrifice schemes
  • Retail vouchers – including our Tech Scheme which can be used on a range of gadgets such as Smart TVs, laptops and computers or household appliances.
  • Life Assurance
