The Front of House Supervisor will play a key role in creating a warm, professional and memorable experience for visitors. This varied, hands-on role supports tours, events, retail and café operations, helping ensure all guest-facing areas run smoothly throughout the day. This position is being advertised as a 4-day a week role - 32 hours.
Visitor Experience and Front of House- Help deliver a friendly, professional and well-organised welcome for visitors, tour guests and event attendees.
- Ensure customer-facing areas are clean, tidy, well-presented and ready for guests.
- Support the smooth flow of visitors through front of house areas, helping with enquiries, directions and practical guest needs.
- Work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of presentation, service and communication across the visitor experience.
- Assist with the set-up and reset of whisky and gin tours, including preparing rooms, arranging materials and ensuring guest areas are ready before visitors arrive.
- Support private events by helping with room preparation, furniture arrangements, food and drinks service, guest flow, stock movement and practical on-the-day requirements.
- Assist during events and tours where required, helping guests feel welcomed, informed and well looked after.
- Work closely with the Events Manager and front of house colleagues to support event preparation, logistics and smooth delivery.
- Provide hands-on café support during busy periods, including helping with presentation, clearing, replenishment and general service support.
- Help prepare for seasonal activities, offsite markets and visitor events, supporting set-up, operation and close.
- Support the café and front of house team with day-to-day practical tasks to keep service areas organised, tidy and guest-ready.
- Check cleaning and operational supplies regularly, ensuring colleagues have the products and materials they need.
- Keep staff areas, stock cupboards and service support spaces tidy, organised and easy to access.
- Provide retail support when required, including stock replenishment, display tidiness and customer assistance.
- Undertake administrative and operational support tasks as required, including uniform records, staff sign-in board updates and general office support.
- Deputise for the duty managers, including opening and closing the Visitor Centre, managing tills and cashing up, and checking in deliveries.
