• Seasonal survey assistants to support ecologists on a variety of projects.
• Work alongside specialists in protected species and habitat surveys.
• Possibility to lead surveys for those with experience.

• Part of a large ecology team with mentoring opportunities.

• Support the national team of ecologists on various projects.
• Provide survey support and logistic planning.
• Conduct ecological surveys and collect biological data.
• Produce quality‑assured ecology deliverables.
• Report writing.

Locations:
Edinburgh & Glasgow.

Field‑based role with early mornings, late evenings, and overnight stays (travel and accommodation expenses covered, budget for subsistence provided).

Contract type:
Zero‑Hour Contract. Key benefits include flexibility, statutory rights, opportunities and experience, short notice protections.

• Enthusiasm for a career in wildlife or ecology.
• Organised and dependable with good time management skills.
• Proactive mindset.
• Willingness to work away from home and stay away for up to 4 nights a week.
• Driving licence (please specify on your CV).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Eligibility for CIEEM membership.

• Degree in ecology or related subject.
• Previous experience in ecological surveys.
