Maintenance Electrician

Overview

Our client are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to carry out mobile maintenance works in Edinburgh and surrounding areas. Their client base includes commercial office blocks, industrial units, retail, and student accommodation. We are looking for a candidate who has knowledge of electrical systems and over 5 years’ experience in similar Electrical/HVAC/Maintenance Engineer type roles.

Their services encompass mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, water hygiene, and fire safety systems, ensuring optimal building performance throughout their lifecycle.
• 24/7 Nationwide Availability: With strategic offices and service centres across the UK, our client offers round-the-clock support 365 days a year. This nationwide presence ensures rapid response times and consistent service delivery, regardless of location.
• Tailored Solutions for Diverse Sectors: Our client specializes in providing customized facilities management solutions across various sectors, including commercial, industrial, retail, and public services. Their expertise allows them to address the unique challenges and requirements of each sector effectively.

• Perform routine and reactive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Diagnose faults, repair, replace, and upgrade lighting, wiring, and electrical components, ensuring compliance with BS 7671.
• Conduct electrical testing, rewires, and emergency lighting maintenance.
• Handle basic Mechanical PPMs.
• Maintain fire alarms, security systems, and automated controls.
• Ensure all work meets health and safety standards, keeping accurate maintenance records.

• Approved Electrical Apprenticeship – Minimum requirement.
• 18th Edition Accreditation – Essential.
• 2391 Testing & Inspection – Beneficial.

• Up to £40k - £43k
• Call out rota & allowance
