Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer; Scotland

We're looking for smart meter engineers with a track record of safety and customer excellence. You’ll be representing our brands in our customers’ homes, so you’ll need to be just as happy talking to the customer and getting to know them as you are about doing the installation itself.

You’ll be fitting meters; showing customers how their meter and in-home display work; how it can help them save energy and answering any questions about the green energy revolution we are leading. As part of the Octopus Energy Services team, you’ll have support to deliver top-class service and access to Octopus Energy’s tech power to evolve processes for efficiency.

• Fit smart meters and demonstrate how the meter and in-home display work.
• Explain energy-saving benefits and answer questions about Octopus Energy’s services.
• Represent the brand in customers’ homes and provide safe, customer-focused service.
• Collaborate with an office team to align with performance goals and deliver high-quality service.

• MOCoPA – held within the last 3 years with evidence available.
• Gas Safe – CCN1/MET1 or CMA1/MET1 (or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.

• £36,500 starting salary

• Rotating call-out schedule every five weeks (Mon-Sun) with £250 retainer; pay from door to door when called out.
• Saturday: £50 for attending, £70 for a dual-fuel installation, £35 for a single-fuel installation; technical aborts paid at half rate.
