Fire Damper Engineer

Location: Lanarkshire, Scotland

Duration: 6 weeks

Rate: £27.50/hr plus mileage

• Conduct thorough inspections of fire and smoke damper systems and units.
• Perform routine maintenance, testing, and repairs on dampers and control panels.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in damper systems and related equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Ensure all work complies with local fire safety regulations, standards, and company policies.
• Provide recommendations for system upgrades or replacements as needed.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance activities.

• Proven experience in fire damper inspection, maintenance, and repair.
• Strong understanding of fire and smoke damper systems, HVAC interfaces, and control panels.
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
• Valid [Insert any required certifications, e.g., Fire Safety, Electrical, or HVAC certifications].

• Experience with automated fire/smoke control panels.
• Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Willingness to travel to various sites as required.
