Salary & Working HoursSalary: £24,533 – £28,294.
Hours:
36 per week.
Tools Allowance: £13.26 per month.
OverviewThe City of Edinburgh Council is committed to providing people in the local area the opportunity to gain skills and knowledge in the world of work through our Modern (Craft) Apprenticeship Training Programme.
Modern (Craft) Apprenticeships (MAs) offer new and returning entrants the chance of paid employment combined with training relevant to the occupational area, including nationally recognised qualifications that help kick‑start a career without full‑time study.
Training & Apprenticeship ActivitiesYou will undertake a 4‑year Electrician apprenticeship and, through on‑site learning and academic study, learn essential electrical work such as wiring, installation of fittings, testing equipment, and installation of fitments and conduits.
You will complete an SVQ Level 3/SCQF Level 6 and pass all exams and standards required to qualify in this trade.
Eligibility & QualificationsApplicants must have left secondary education in the past three years, or currently be on a City of Edinburgh Council employability training programme, or be aged up to 29 (with disability or care experience).
Applicants must show a willingness to participate in a Modern Apprenticeship programme.
Applicants must be willing to obtain a driving licence and be able to travel to college.
