Position: Modern Apprenticeship Plasterer - Multiple Locations across City
Location: City of Edinburgh

Modern Apprenticeship Plasterer (Fixed term until 02/08/2030)

Locations:
Multiple across City.

Salary: £24,533 – £24,796 per annum.

Hours:

36 per week. Tools Allowance: £7.90 per month.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve a 4‑year apprenticeship in plastering, learning through on‑site practical work and academic study.
  • Undertake a range of plaster work, including traditional plaster finishes, to a high standard.
  • Prepare, mix, apply, finish and maintain plaster work in compliance with project specifications.
  • Carry out the work required of the apprenticeship training programme while ensuring quality and safety standards.
  • Complete the required SVQ Level 3 / SCQ Level 6 examinations and meet all standards required to qualify in the trade.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Completed secondary education within the last three years or currently enrolled in a City of Edinburgh Council employability training programme.
  • Aged 29 years or younger (disability or care experience exception) as per external funding criteria.
  • Willingness to participate in a Modern Apprenticeship Programme.
  • Ability to obtain a driving licence and travel to the college.
