Location:
Portsmouth & surrounding areas Job Type: Contract Rate: £25 £ 30 per hour (depending on experience) About the Role We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Testing Engineer to carry out inspection and testing across a range of commercial properties in Portsmouth and surrounding areas .
This role offers consistent work and competitive hourly rates for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities Carry out EICRs (Electrical Installation Condition Reports) on commercial sites Conduct inspection, testing, and fault finding Ensure compliance with BS 7671 regulations Accurately complete reports and certification Identify and report defects, recommending remedial actions Maintain high standards of health & safety on site Essential Requirements City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) essential NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Proven experience on commercial properties Full UK Driving Licence Ability to work independently and manage workload Desirable IPAF / PASMA
Experience with large-scale testing contracts Familiar with handheld/digital reporting systems
