What You’ll DoAs a Field Engineer at Vodafone Three, you’ll be at the heart of delivering a high‑quality, customer‑focused field engineering service, supporting and assuring Scottish Power’s strategic telecommunications network across Scotland, including key interfaces with SSEN and National Grid. You’ll play a vital role in keeping critical infrastructure running smoothly, providing first‑line support, routine maintenance and assurance activities as part of a 24/7 operation.
You’ll work closely with project engineers, helping bring projects to life while ensuring they deliver the outcomes our customers expect.
Day to day you’ll take ownership of managing risk, maintaining quality standards, and always putting health and safety first, for yourself and those around you. Using your technical knowledge of networking principles across delivery and operational environments, you’ll contribute to successful project outcomes across a variety of solutions.
This is a hands‑on, field‑based role that involves travel, so a full UK driving licence is essential – alongside a positive, can‑do attitude and a genuine commitment to doing great work as part of a team.
Who You Are- Exceptional organisational skills
- Demonstrable engineering installation & commissioning experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Computer skills (Teams, Microsoft Office)
- Ability to adapt to a fast‑paced environment
- Ability to work to the applicable quality standards
- Scottish Power work authorisations required (training will be provided)
- Installation of networks & equipment (Commtel, SDH, PDH, Radio, Xtran)
- Excellent knowledge of routing, switching and data networking
- IP networking (WAN, LAN, MPLS)
- Experience in maintaining, monitoring and troubleshooting networks and systems
