At Kelly Group, we’re continuing to expand our expert workforce and are seeking a highly skilled MDU Build Engineer to join our team working on our Openreach contract.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take ownership of complex fibre installations within multi-dwelling units, playing a key role in connecting communities to next-generation networks.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As an MDU Build Engineer, you’ll bring technical expertise and precision to every project:

  • Leading fibre installations within multi-dwelling units, running internal fibre from entry points to all floors
  • Terminating fibres into RDTs (Riser Distribution Terminals) and breakout boxes to the highest standards
  • Managing both internal and external cabling with a focus on quality and efficiency
  • Ensuring full compliance with fire safety regulations, including fire stopping for internal cabling
  • Reading and interpreting building surveys and plans to deliver accurate installations
  • Installing Blown Fibre Tubing (BFT), blowing fibre, and preparing underground cable routes using rod and rope techniques
  • Carrying out fibre splicing and testing in line with strict quality standards

  • Able to prioritise effectively in a fast‑paced setting
  • Comfortable working at heights of up to 15 metres
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A full UK manual driving licence (held for at least 12 months, with no more than 6 points)
