Ealing Council Apprenticeship Opportunities

Start Your Career with Ealing Council

Have you considered becoming Ealing Council's next apprentice and following in the footsteps of over 320 apprentices who have come before you? Many have gone on to secure permanent roles and progress into senior positions across the Council.

An apprenticeship is a great way to develop new skills, knowledge, and behaviours while gaining practical, on‑the‑job experience. As an apprentice at Ealing Council, you will receive full support throughout your programme, with the opportunity to progress to the next level upon successful completion.

Are You Eligible?

To apply, you must meet one of the following criteria:

  • You are a resident of the London Borough of Ealing (proof of residency will be required).
  • You attended a school in the London Borough of Ealing or obtained valid GCSEs (or equivalent qualifications) from an Ealing school within the last three years (evidence will be required).
  • You attended a college in the London Borough of Ealing (college attendance will be verified).
  • The London Borough of Ealing is your Corporate Parent (Care Leavers).
  • You must be aged 16 or over, unless otherwise stated in the role profile.
  • If you are currently in Year 11, you cannot begin an apprenticeship until August.
  • You must hold a British or European passport or have Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK.
  • You cannot undertake an apprenticeship in the same occupational area if you already hold an equivalent or higher‑level qualification in that subject.
  • You cannot apply if you have previously completed an apprenticeship with Ealing Council.
  • Under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, you must declare any spent or unspent convictions. Some service areas may be unable to consider applications where cautions or convictions have been disclosed; however, many apprenticeship placements can still be considered where declarations are made.
As an apprentice, you will receive:
  • A competitive salary above the London Real Living Wage.
  • Generous annual leave entitlement.
  • Guaranteed six hours of paid study time during your working week.
  • Ongoing support throughout your apprenticeship programme.
