Air Conditioning Engineer
Location: Edinburgh
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 + Overtime + Excellent Benefits
Looking for a role where no two days are the same?We’re recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a growing engineering team covering commercial sites across the Edinburgh area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to work across a varied portfolio of commercial properties, carrying out service, maintenance, repairs and installations on a wide range of air conditioning, refrigeration and HVAC equipment.

Salary & Benefits- Salary between £38,000 – £42,000
- Monday‑Friday, 8:00am‑4:30pm

You’ll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, repairs and installations across a wide range of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Typical duties include:
- Servicing and maintaining commercial air conditioning systems
- Fault finding and repairs on HVAC equipment
- Working on VRV and VRF systems
- Servicing cold rooms and ice machines
- Maintaining Heat Recovery Units
- Leak detection and F‑Gas compliance
- Supporting refrigeration installations and maintenance
- Completing electronic job reports using a CAFM system
- Delivering excellent customer service across commercial sites
There will also be opportunities to broaden your skillset through additional training in Air Source Heat Pumps and to support electrical PPM activities where appropriate.
About YouTo be successful in this role you’ll have:
- City & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent)
- Valid F‑Gas Certification
- Experience servicing and maintaining commercial air conditioning systems
- Strong fault‑finding skills
- Experience working within commercial Facilities Management or Building Services
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience with commercial refrigeration equipment
- Knowledge of BMS controls
- Experience working on Air Handling Units, pumps and heat exchangers
- Experience with Air Source Heat Pumps
