We're recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join an established on-site engineering team in Edinburgh. Working as part of a dedicated engineering team, you ll be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a prestigious commercial development, ensuring all electrical systems remain safe, compliant and fully operational.

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems
• Diagnosing faults and completing reactive electrical repairs
• Testing and maintaining emergency lighting systems
• Inspecting and maintaining distribution boards
• Completing routine plant room and switch room inspections
• Carrying out weekly sprinkler system testing
• Supporting specialist subcontractors where required
• Updating maintenance records using a CAFM system
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with current regulations
• Delivering a professional and customer-focused maintenance service

To be successful in this role, you ll have:

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Experience working within Facilities Management, Building Services or Commercial Maintenance
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Inspection & Testing (2391)
• Experience working within large commercial, retail or mixed-use environments
• Knowledge of SFG
  20 maintenance standards
