We are looking for a full time Maintenance Technician
. We are looking for someone with previous hands‑on experience in repairs and installations. Someone that has the ability to multitask and has an outgoing and polite personality,you’ll play a key role in maintaining the safety, comfort, and presentation of our property to the highest standards.

This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Location: 100 Princes Street, Edinburgh

Employment Type: Full Time

Working Pattern
: 5 working days a week with 2 days off, with both early and late shifts.

Key Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician:

• Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks including repairs to fixtures, fittings, and equipment.
• Respond efficiently to maintenance requests.
• Maintain and care for tools, materials, and supplies required for maintenance duties.
• Carry out minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting work as needed.
• Support with scheduled and reactive maintenance across guest rooms and public areas.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and internal standards.
• Communicate effectively with all departments to minimise disruption to guests.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and report any ongoing issues.

What are we looking for?

• Previous hands‑on experience in general maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• A broad skillset across basic trades such as plumbing, electrics, painting, and carpentry.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the ability to multitask.
• A working knowledge of health and safety, COSHH, and manual handling standards.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
