Position: Shift Mechanic (4 day)

Pay Rate: £22.40 per hour + Overtime Available

Hours & Shift Pattern: 4 days over 7 dayshifts, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week | Permanent

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Day Shift Mechanic to join our busy Engineering Department at one of our city garages.

This is a permanent role for a fully qualified mechanic working a pre-allocated 4-over-7-day shift rota, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Who Are We Looking For?
  • A time-served motor vehicle mechanic.
  • Holder of a full UK driving licence.
  • Someone with strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • A team player who can work effectively under pressure.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work.
  • A willingness to continually learn and develop.
  • Experience with in the bus, coach, truck or heavy vehicle industry would be advantageous.
  • A PCV licence is desirable; however, the ability and commitment to obtain one whilst employed by Lothian is essential.
