We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Towbar and Trailer Technician position in Edinburgh. Benefits
  • Basic salary up to £30,000 depending on experience as aTowbar and Trailer Technician
  • OTE (On-Target Earnings) of approximately £36,000
  • 33 days holiday including bank holidays
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday — no weekends required

Duties
  • Fit towbars to customer vehicles, ensuring all marks and scratches are accurately recorded
  • Service and repair the company's fleet of hire trailers, including flatbed trailers and horseboxes
  • Assembling and modifying trailers as required
  • Maintain and update detailed records for each trailer to ensure proper servicing
  • Ensure all vehicles and trailers are securely parked and handled with care
  • Report any damages or issues to the Branch Manager immediately
  • Keep tools and equipment in optimal condition and report faults as necessary
  • Visit customer premises for repairs and fitting towbars as required
  • Drive and operate a forklift truck if trained
Requirements
  • Practical experience in repairing products, preferably in vehicle or trailer maintenance
  • Experience in fitting and wiring towbars
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Ability to diagnose faults and provide technical advice
  • Willingness to undergo forklift training if applicable
  • Experience servicing and repairing trailers and similar products is highly desirable
  • Good attention to detail and customer service standards
