The Accounting Managerleadsthemonth -endcloseprocess,maintainsstronginternalcontrols,oversees day-to-dayaccountingfunctions,andsupportsfinancialreporting,audit readiness,andstrategicbusinessinitiatives.
Thisroleservesasakeybusinesspartneracrossdepartments—providingtimelyfinancialinformation,identifyingopportunitiesforprocessimprovement,andensuringcompliancewithaccountingstandardsandcompanypolicies.
- Reviewandapprovejournalentries,reconciliations,andsupportingschedules
- Maintainownershipofbalancesheetreconciliationsandrelatedcontrols
- Partner with Financeleadershiptopreparemonthlyfinancialstatements,variance analysis,andmanagementreporting
- ReviewcomplexaccountingtransactionsandensurecompliancewithGAAP
- Reviewpaymentrunsandensurealignmentwithcashflowrequirements
- Partnerwithoperationalteamstoimprovefinancialprocessesandcontrols
- Maintaincompliancewithinternalcontrolsandaccountingpolicies
- Ensureauditreadinessthroughouttheyear
- Supporttreasuryactivities,cash management,andbankingrelationships
- Manageaccountingactivitiesrelatedtoinsuranceprogrammesandclaims
- Monitorinsuranceaccrualsandrelatedfinancialreporting
- Assistwithriskmanagementinitiativesandfinancialcompliancerequirements
- Support recruiting,onboarding,andsuccessionplanningwithintheaccountingfunction
- CollaboratewithFP&A,HR,Operations,Merchandising,Supply Chain,and Executive Leadership
- Providefinancialinsightsthatsupportbusinessdecisions
- Participateinspecialprojects,system implementations,andprocessimprovementinitiatives
- Bachelor'sdegreein
Accounting,Finance,orrelatedfield - StrongknowledgeofGAAPandfinancialreportingrequirements
- Experiencemanagingmonth-endcloseprocesses
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- ExperienceworkingwithinERPandfinancialreportingsystems
- CPA designation
- Retail,distribution,ormulti-locationbusinessexperience
- Experiencesupportinghigh-growth organisations
- Experiencewithprocessimprovementandsystemimplementations
- Base salary:$110,000–$145,000annually,basedonqualificationsandexperience
- Bonusprogramme:10% ofannualsalarybasedonpersonalandcompanyperformance
