About the RoleA well-established commercial real estate firm is seeking an Accounting Manager to support and work closely with senior leadership across all financial operations. This is a high-visibility role offering strong exposure to executive leadership, with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility over time.
The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to operate in a highly confidential environment. This position offers a clear path toward broader financial oversight and leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations
- Maintain general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare financial statements and support quarterly financial reviews
- Monitor cash flow, investment accounts, and property-related financial activity
- Coordinate annual tax preparation and external accounting relationships
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and commission tracking
- Support payroll processing, benefits administration, and profit-sharing accounting
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies
- Identify process improvements and enhance financial reporting systems
- Partner with senior leadership on financial planning and strategic initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting or financial management experience
- Experience working closely with senior leadership or ownership groups
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting controls, and cash management
- Advanced Excel skills and strong accounting systems experience
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Commercial real estate or property-related accounting exposure
- Experience supporting payroll, commissions, or benefits administration
- Exposure to strategic financial planning and process improvement initiatives
