Tax Partner

Whitman Advisory is partnering with an established and growing CPA firm that is actively expanding its tax practice and seeking experienced Tax Partners across a broad range of specialties.

The firm is open to considering accomplished partner-level professionals from diverse tax backgrounds. This opportunity is ideal for a senior tax leader who is interested in joining a firm that is investing significantly in the continued growth and development of its tax group.

The firm is interested in Tax Partners with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• General tax compliance and advisory
• Mergers and acquisitions tax
• Transaction advisory services
• Pass-through entities
• Partnerships and S corporations
• High-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals
• Trusts and estates
• Closely held and privately owned businesses
• Other specialized tax practices

The Tax Partner will play an important role in expanding the firm's tax capabilities, strengthening client relationships, supporting business development, and providing high-level technical and strategic guidance.

The selected candidate will work closely with the firm's leadership and other partners to identify opportunities for growth, enhance service offerings, and support the continued development of the tax practice.

• Lead and oversee complex tax engagements within the candidate's area of expertise.
• Provide strategic tax planning, compliance, and advisory services to clients.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business owners, executives, individuals, families, and other key stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and develop new business.
• Collaborate with partners and professionals across tax, accounting, audit, advisory, and other service lines.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex tax matters.
• Mentor, develop, and support managers, senior professionals, and other members of the tax team.
• Participate in the strategic growth and continued expansion of the firm’s tax practice.
• Represent the firm professionally in the marketplace and within relevant industry networks.

• Current or prior experience at the Tax Partner, Principal, Managing Director, or equivalent senior leadership level within a CPA, public accounting, tax, or professional services firm.
• Significant experience in tax compliance, planning, consulting, advisory, or transaction-related services.
• Strong technical knowledge within the candidate's area of tax specialization.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex client relationships and engagements.
• Strong leadership, business development, communication, and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with firm leadership, partners, professionals, and clients.
• CPA, JD, EA, or another relevant professional credential is preferred, depending on the candidate's area of expertise.
