Overview
Job Title : Sourcing Specialist (Hybrid)
Duration : 12+ months
Location : Edison, NJ
Pay Rate : $35-$40/Hr.
Schedule Notes: Core
Hours:
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Hybrid - may be expected to report onsite as needed.
Hard Requirements (Must-Haves)
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on Contract Review and Negotiation (Direct experience required, exposure alone is not sufficient)
- Experience reviewing contracts and partnering with Legal
- Experience working with senior leadership such as VPs and key stakeholders
- Note - Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) Certification at hire or obtained within 12 months of hire
- Identifies cost savings through contract negotiation with GPOs or vendors.
- Leads RFP process and supports departments through supplier selection.
- Sources and negotiates contracts with suppliers across product categories.
- Quickly identifies alternate suppliers in urgent situations.
- Engages with domestic/global suppliers to support supply chain goals.
- Meets with supplier reps; conducts quarterly reviews.
- Shares savings opportunities with Value Analysis and internal teams.
- Works with departments to implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensures pricing accuracy with Pricing/Data Integrity teams.
- Manages contract documentation with Legal and updates systems.
- Maintains pricing updates, renewals, and contract changes.
- Assists buyers in resolving pricing issues.
- Collaborates with Legal to ensure complete procurement terms.
- Participates in team reviews and supports workflow improvements.
- Tracks and reports cost savings by period.
- Uses Google tools to analyze supplier/category spend.
- Acts as liaison for procurement-related inquiries.
- Supports product branding initiatives.
- Performs other duties and adheres to HMH standards.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Travel within HMH as needed.
- Strong project management and time management skills.
- Adaptable to shifting priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. CRMP required at time of hire or within 12 months.
