Theopportunity
Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for driving change by implementation of the global Teva Production System standards and coaching local management and team members to achieve a step change in the performance of the site in terms of quality, service and cost competitiveness while engaging and empowering the site employees.
How You’ll Spend Your Day- Manage a team that will help lead the change at the site
- Site responsibility for OPEX transformation and embedding global standards
- Learn from global team, adapt to site
- Build capabilities at site
- Stakeholder management and coaching
- Develop site rollout plan post involvement of global transformation team
- Bring structure and knowledge of methodology to guarantee rigor
- Help site management with the setting of ambitious targets
- Provide deep lean expertise
- Coach, train and facilitate line management and change agents
- Ensuring local project follow up, regular feedback to central team, raising the flags, proposing the project plan changes
- Implementing the Production System KPIs and reporting the progress of the site implementation
- Follows Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned or required by business needs
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
Education RequiredBachelor of Science Degree preferred in Pharmacy, Engineering or Chemistry.
Experience Required- Minimum five (5) year experience in Lean tools process improvement (lean, six sigma) preferably in pharmaceutical or other FDA‑regulated manufacturing facility.
- Experience as a team leader in a Lean environment, or several functions (e.g. Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Supply Chain is an advantage).
- Project management experience and excellent time management skills
- Preferable bilingual (Spanish/English).
- Lean‑Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Project Management or Supply Chain certification
- High energy and enthusiasm to lead conflict resolution and team building
- Understands dynamics and culture of the company and the site
- Challenges status quo to perform at level that is higher than comfortable
- Self‑directed, stable and perseverant
- Willingness to learn
- Use to sit, stand and walk to perform the job responsibilities
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required in specific areas
- Use to work with computer for a long period of time
- Limited physical demands; no heavy lifting required
The annual starting salary for this position is between $76,000 – $96,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
