Procurement Specialist

Job Description

Champion Container Corp is a growing distribution company of industrial packaging supplies. We are looking for an experienced procurement specialist to join our purchasing department. The role requires strong purchasing experience, excellent communication skills, and a professional demeanor. It is a full‑time purchasing assistant position with hours Monday through Friday, 8:00–4:30 pm, with no overtime or weekend requirements.

• Process paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Engage in heavy computer work and follow up with vendors.
• Interact with multiple warehouses.
• Support other purchasing staff.
• Ensure all necessary paperwork is processed correctly and efficiently.
• Forecast demand and assure material supplies support needs where appropriate.
• Submit purchase orders and process payments.
• Establish, build, and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
• Analyze and enter price changes in the system.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of all products.
• Assist in completing counting, entering, and verifying physical inventory for daily cycle counts.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of pricing, sales, and customer information.
