Executive Director / VP, Head of Preclinical Development
We're partnering with a leading cell therapy biotech to hire a VP/Executive Director, Head of Preclinical Development
. This newly created leadership role will drive global preclinical strategy across an expanding oncology pipeline, leading programs from candidate nomination through IND submission.
- Lead global preclinical development and IND-enabling strategy
- Oversee in vitro/in vivo pharmacology, immunology, and nonclinical development
- Drive regulatory interactions and global IND submissions
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across the US and China
- Partner cross-functionally to advance pipeline programs into the clinic
- PhD and 15+ years in preclinical drug development with leadership experience
- Direct CAR-T/cell therapy experience (required)
- Strong background in in vitro & in vivo pharmacology and IND-enabling studies
- Experience supporting viral vector technologies within cell therapy
- Oncology and/or immunology expertise
- Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands‑on execution in a fast‑paced biotech environment
