Our client is a well-established organization seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to join their payroll team on a temporary basis. This is a newly created role due to increased workload and offers the potential for long-term opportunities. Salary/Hourly Rate:$30/hr - $33/hr
Position Overview:Our client is seeking a Payroll Analyst to support the Payroll department with reporting, analytics, and special projects. This role is heavily focused on Microsoft Excel and data analysis, making it an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in payroll, financial, or sales analysis. Strong recent graduates with exceptional Excel skills and the ability to work independently are encouraged to apply, as are experienced professionals looking for their next opportunity.
Responsibilities of the Payroll Analyst:- Prepare, monitor, and analyze payroll trends and metrics every month.
- Create, maintain, and analyze complex payroll reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Perform ad hoc reporting and data analysis projects.
- Interpret payroll data and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Assist with payroll-related projects and process improvements.
- Collaborate with team members to complete departmental initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with payroll department goals and internal procedures.
- Support additional analytical projects as assigned.
- 3 - 5+ years of experience in a Payroll Analyst, Financial Analyst, Sales Analyst, or similar analytical role (strong recent graduates with exceptional Excel skills will also be considered).
- Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas, data analysis).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Technology and systems-oriented with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Self-starter who takes initiative and requires minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience using ADP Enterprise.
- Payroll reporting and analytics experience.
- Experience supporting payroll or finance departments.
- Continuous improvement or process optimization experience.
- Bachelor's degree required.
