Job Title:
Health & Safety Coordinator
Location: 234 Pierson Ave, Edison, NJ
Duration:24 Months
- Reporting to a project site in the morning (field work)--Service territory Bergen county to Trenton/PA area.
- Relevant experience in safety industry or large construction projects must -- experience within buildings, facilities, construction, electrical, etc.
- Must have car and valid driver's license
This position involves providing safety oversight on construction and modification projects. The role requires a commitment to fostering a culture of safety and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements.
RequiredSkills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Environmental, and/or Emergency Management or equivalent experience in electric and/or gas utility construction
- Relevant experience in the safety industry or large construction projects, particularly in buildings, facilities, construction, electrical, etc.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for commuting to and from job sites
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather and environmental conditions
- Prior work experience at client or in the client's industry
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Skills & Qualifications
- BCSP CHST, USOLN CUSP, or similar professional safety certification
- CPR/First Aid trained
- Proficiency in technological devices including Windows applications, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
- Provide safety oversight on specific projects
- Develop and maintain a culture where safety is the top priority
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations and requirements
- Assist in the implementation of new safety requirements and procedures
- Conduct documented job site observations and make on-the-spot corrections
- Lead or participate in safety-related task forces and meetings
- Foster an inclusive work environment that respects all aspects of diversity
- Opportunities for continuous improvement and professional development
- Engage with all project personnel to ensure safety expectations are understood and met
