Our client is an established architectural glass and metal contractor delivering commercial glazing packages throughout New Jersey and the Tri-State area. Their expertise spans curtain wall, storefront, architectural entrances, decorative glazing, metal panels and specialty façade systems across commercial, healthcare, pharmaceutical and institutional markets.

The Opportunity

An experienced Estimator is required to prepare competitive bids for commercial glazing and façade projects. Working closely with project management and operations, you'll play a key role in securing new work and supporting successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings and specifications
• Perform quantity take-offs for glazing and façade systems
• Prepare detailed material and labour estimates
• Obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Prepare bid proposals and tender submissions
• Identify scope gaps and value engineering opportunities
• Attend pre-bid meetings when required
• Coordinate bid handovers to the project management team
• Maintain estimating databases and historical pricing
• Build relationships with general contractors, architects and suppliers

Requirements

• 3+ years of estimating experience within commercial glazing or façade construction
• Experience pricing curtain wall, storefront, entrances, glass and architectural metals
• Strong blueprint reading and specification review skills
• Experience with Bluebeam, OST, Excel or estimating software
• Excellent analytical and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple bid deadlines

• Knowledge of fabrication methods
• Experience working with design-build projects
