PositionSummary
We are looking for a motivated part‑time Dental Assistant to join our team, serving patients across our Monmouth County locations in Asbury Park, Red Bank, Keyport, and Freehold. As the float Dental Assistant, you will work as a team player to support dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; assisting chairside during procedures; and ensuring care is delivered in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.
You’ll help create a positive patient experience in a fast‑paced setting where professionalism, adaptability, and teamwork truly matter.
- Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of the job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationships with co‑workers
- Assists the Dentists and Dental Practice Manager in developing, implementing and evaluating the operation strategies of the Dental Center
- Provides assistance with patient care and dental health screenings in accordance with agency guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Provides oral health instructions, post‑operative instruction and education to patients as appropriate
- Prepares documentation and provides administrative support to the Dental Center
- Sterilizes instruments following FQHC/State DOH guidelines and maintains logs and records according to agency’s policy
- Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies
- Adheres to the organization’s policy in regard to absenteeism and appearance
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Certification by the Dental Assisting National Board (preferred)
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program (preferred)
- Valid NJ Radiology License and X‑ray Certification (required)
- Ambulatory Sterilization Certification (preferred; required by first work anniversary)
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills
- Valid NJ driver’s license and auto insurance
- Bilingual Spanish skills (a plus)

CompensationIn compliance with New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Act, the total compensation range for this position is USD $30,000.00 to USD $65,000.00. The total compensation range reflects the total package, including base salary, overtime, bonuses, add‑on incentives, special clinical compensation, retirement plans, and all other benefits.
