Dental Hygienist

We're looking for a registered dental hygienist to join our growing team! You’ll complete initial patient screenings, conduct dental cleanings, and assist dentists with examinations and procedures. $50 - $60 hourly and $1,000 sign on bonus

• Identify dental issues such as periodontitis, gingivitis, or cavities so they can be treated as soon as possible
• Document patient visits and keep health records current
• Educate patients of all ages on how to take care of their teeth through good flossing and brushing twice daily
• Create dental impressions of patients’ teeth so veneers, mouthguards, etc. can be made correctly
• Talk to patients and make sure they feel comfortable and taken care of before, during, and after the examination

• Talk with patients to make sure they are comfortable and have all their questions answered
• Help to identify dental issues such as periodontitis, gingivitis, or cavities so they can be treated as soon as possible
• Give guidance to patients about how to have good dental care at home
• Prevent tooth decay and periodontal disease by providing a thorough dental cleaning and applying protective sealants, fluoride, and Arestin as needed
• Conduct initial screenings of patients to understand their oral health history
• Make radiographs of the patient’s teeth
• Instruct patients on how to care for their teeth on a regular basis
• Treatment plan patients' period treatment with the dentist
• Update patient’s health history periodically and document clinical notes from appointments
• Clean and sterilize dental instruments

• Possesses a state license to practice dental hygiene
• Able to stand up for long periods of time to administer dental exams and procedures
• Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills
• 1+ years of experience in dental hygiene work
• Associate’s degree and certification in dental hygiene program required, higher levels of education are highly valued

• 5+ years experience as a dental hygienist
• Must be a positive self-starter who works well with others and loves what they do
