Design Assistant

In the role of Assistant Designer
, you will provide essential support to the entire design team. Meeting deadlines is critical to success in this position. The ideal candidate will remain engaged throughout the lifecycle of a project and assist in any way necessary to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.

• Create CADs, picks, and style numbers for the design and sales teams with speed and accuracy.
• Manage licensor revisions and implement artwork updates.
• Assign Pantone colors to all picks for Creative team review.
• Assist with sketching and development of new garment bodies and silhouettes.
• Create zoomed CADs for buyer approval presentations.
• Support senior designers by managing minor revisions on large presentations while they focus on new categories and business initiatives.
• Assist in the design and development of products across multiple retail accounts.
• Represent the company at trade shows, career fairs, and other industry events as needed.
• Research and share market trends, inspiration, and competitive shopping insights with the design team.
• Provide daily project status updates through end-of-day team communications.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects move efficiently from concept through completion.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong CAD and technical illustration skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proactive, adaptable, and willing to support the team wherever needed.
• Interest in fashion, apparel, and market trends.
