RN School‑Based (Permanent Substitute Float)

Remainder of this school year with opportunity for next year.

Edison Township Local Schools

Monday through Friday during school hours (35 hours a week). No nights, weekends, holidays, or summers.

• Provide nursing care and support to students in various school settings.
• Assess student health needs and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure a safe and healthy environment for students.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Current RN license from the New Jersey Board of Nursing (required).
• Knowledge of communicable disease prevention and medication protocols.
• Collaborative, team‑oriented approach – must work effectively with staff, parents, and students.
• Excellent organizational skills and time‑management abilities.
• Current CPR certification and ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Strong interpersonal skills – ability to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Knowledge of HIPAA laws and ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
