$25.00 - $36.00 per hour
. Full-Time, This is a full-time position with the opportunity to make a real difference in students' lives while working in a dynamic training environment.

Shape the next generation of automotive professionals!

We are looking for a passionate, skilled Automotive Technician Instructor to train and mentor 17-24 year old students in our Job Corps automotive technology program. If you love teaching hands‑on skills, staying current with industry technology, and helping young people build successful careers, this is a rewarding opportunity.

What You'll Do
  • Deliver engaging classroom and hands‑on instruction in automotive maintenance, repair, and diagnostics
  • Teach foundational skills (tire rotations, oil changes, etc.) and advanced topics including computer diagnostics, electrical/electronics systems, brake & steering systems, transmissions, fuel systems, and cooling systems (including A/C)
  • Monitor and assist students during practical projects
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional learning environment
  • Keep students motivated as a positive role model
  • Stay up‑to‑date with changes in the automotive repair industry
  • Complete accurate paperwork and documentation
What We're Looking For
  • ASE Certification (required) + willingness to continue training and certifications
  • Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience as a Service Technician
  • Strong knowledge of brake/steering systems, electrical & electronic diagnostics, transmission, fuel systems, and cooling systems
  • Valid state driver's license
  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Computer skills and comfort with modern diagnostic tools
  • Passion for teaching and working with young adults
  • Preferred:
    Previous teaching or training experience
