Phlebotomy Instructor
The Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Department of Middlesex College invites applications for part-time, non-credit instructors to teach the following course:
- Phlebotomy
Important:
Please note that a non-credit instructor is not an adjunct position. Successful candidates teach courses in the Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Department.
Primary Responsibilities:
The ability to teach 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday) and a one (1) day externship orientation, which includes the following subject areas:
- Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Terminology
- Safe collection of blood and other specimens
- Venipuncture technique
- Basic laboratory procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous teaching experience
- Experience teaching adult learners
- Three (3) years of experience working as a Phlebotomy Technician or Medical Laboratory Technician
- Current certification as a Phlebotomy Technician or Medical Laboratory Technician
- Ability to teach in Edison, New Brunswick, or Perth Amboy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Familiarity with teaching Online via Zoom and/or CANVAS
- Experience teaching in higher education

WDLL is current seeking a Phlebotomy instructor to teach in person, days at the Edison, New Brunswick, or Perth Amboy campuses. Please be aware that this is a pooled position for instructors. Completed applications will enable hiring officials to contact you when a hiring need arises.
