Job Description
The Project Technical Leader (PTL) role is an important position that focuses on technical delivery within the Global Delivery Excellence Framework. The PTL develops and drives the technical vision of the project, working closely with the Project Manager and reporting directly to the PM.
Responsibilities- Coordinate technical content of both design and non-design projects, focusing on preemptive, preventive, and proactive approaches to delivery that mitigate circle backs.
- Develop engineering designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities, water and sewer systems, pipelines, pump stations, and other infrastructure projects of basic to high complexity to meet client requirements.
- Review draft designs and reports for compliance with federal, state and local regulations and sign off on completed designs.
- Ensure firm policies and practices are followed on all designs.
- Perform site reviews and studies as needed to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications and update design requirements as necessary.
- Contribute to the firm's Technical Knowledge Management by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs and studies.
- Submit technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals.
- Collaborate with sales staff to create proposals in response to current and potential client RFPs, reviewing draft proposals for adherence to regulations and best practices.
- Meet with current and potential clients to review their current and future design needs and attend conferences and symposia to improve the firm's visibility of products and services.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff and mentor them for future growth within the discipline and firm; may supervise the work of junior engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 12 years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required; frequency contingent on duties.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Performs other duties as required.

Skills And Abilities- Expert Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
- Expert Knowledge of engineering principles of design.
- Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Expert knowledge of federal, state and local regulations.

CompensationPay Range Minimum: $132,496. Pay Range Maximum: $231,878. Additional compensation and bonuses are discretionary.
