ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervise, direct, and review the work of the accounting staff in areas such as cash reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activity, accounts payable transactions, debt activity, recording of revenue and expenses, and handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
  • Oversee daily accounting activities necessary to maintain the general ledger.
  • Apply understanding of advanced financial and accounting principles to ensure accurate financial reports, posting of financial transactions, and maintenance of the general ledger structure.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and year-end basis.
  • Facilitate and manage the preparation and review of the company’s federal and state tax returns, as well as sales & use tax filings.
