The FP&A Senior Analyst is a strategic finance partner responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive business performance across Factory Direct Enterprises (FDE). This role goes beyond reporting numbers— it exists to explain, influence, and improve results.
Key Responsibilities- Month-End Reporting & Analysis:
Lead the month-end financial analysis process, deliver accurate reporting packages, perform variance analysis, prepare Executive Financial Package and board slides, collaborate with Accounting, present results to Finance leadership, lead forecasting process, partner with business leaders, build forecasting frameworks, support leadership with projections and scenario analyses. - Budgeting & Strategic Planning:
Own the annual budgeting process, coordinate data collection, consolidate departmental budgets, develop presentation materials, deliver budget, design forecasting model, perform sensitivity analysis, improve model accuracy, translate outputs into recommendations. - Performance Reporting & Insights:
Oversee creation of recurring operational reports and dashboards, automate reports, produce executive-ready slides, partner with leaders to explain trends, continuously evolve reporting tools. - Business Partnership & Communication:
Serve as financial partner to departments, communicate proactively, participate in business reviews, build trust and credibility. - Process Improvement & Leadership:
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate, collaborate with IT/Development, mentor team members, uphold core values, full-time 40 hrs/week, hybrid schedule Mon/Tue/Thu in office.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA a plus.
- 5–8 years progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic analysis.
- Strong experience with month-end financial reporting, forecasting, executive presentations.
- Proven ability to manage budgeting process and deliver insights to senior leadership.
- Retail, distribution, or multi-location business experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Power Query and Power BI or other BI tools.
- Experience with ERP systems (Royal4, STORIS, Net Suite).
- Strong understanding of GAAP financial statements, variance analysis, data validation.
- Ability to automate reporting processes and build efficient analytical tools.
