We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Analyst to join our General Accounting team, supporting the logistics divisions. This role is responsible for managing cost accounting and general ledger activities, expense reporting and SAP allocations. The analyst will play a key role in period-end close processes, journal entry preparation, and financial reporting, while collaborating cross-functionally with Corporate Finance, Procurement, Financial Reporting, and Operations.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, analytical capabilities, and a collaborative mindset to support accurate and timely financial reporting and close. This position is a part of Transportation/ Logistics Accounting Team.

Essential Functions

Essential Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of weekly flash reports and weekly productivity reports. These business reports are distributed on a weekly basis to the management, business partners and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate collection of data for various types of business reports, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes related to Consolidation of Cost accounting deliverables for two transportation subsidiaries.
  • Prepare related Journal Entries and Schedules to support monthly/quarterly/year-end audit processes.
  • Adhere to internal control and accounting policies
  • Assisting with the identification and implementation of improvements to the quality and efficiency of the weekly/ monthly processes while collaborating and establishing business partnerships
  • The Analyst will be the department project lead to collaborate and assist with automation and streamlining projects including design, testing, training and implementation of new transportation management system. This will involve coordinating with various cross-functional teams.
  • Assist with any other projects related to the department
  • May be assigned additional responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification preferred.
  • 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
  • Availability to work a varied, flexible schedule to meet business demands
  • Ability to monitor computer screens for long periods of time
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule as established by the division (4 days on-site, 1 day remote)
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000 weekly. Placement in the range depends on several factors, including experience, skills, education, geography, and budget considerations.
