Key Responsibilities Private Credit Leadership
  • Develop and execute Everest's private credit investment strategy across all credit segments.
  • Lead portfolio construction, manager selection, sizing decisions, and portfolio monitoring activities.
  • Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities across:
    • Direct Lending
    • Asset-Based Finance (ABF)
    • Opportunistic Credit
    • Structured Credit
    • Infrastructure Credit
    • Private Placements
  • Drive portfolio optimization efforts to enhance risk-adjusted returns and capital efficiency.
  • Oversee due diligence and underwriting of external managers and investment vehicles.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, credit quality, covenant trends, defaults, recoveries, and market conditions.
  • Advise on portfolio guidelines, concentration limits, and monitoring frameworks.
Alternative Investments Leadership
  • Serve as Co-Head of Alternatives alongside the Head of Private Equity and Real Assets.
  • Help determine strategic allocations across private equity, private credit, real assets, secondaries, and opportunistic investments.
  • Assess alternative investment opportunities within the context of enterprise capital, liquidity, and risk objectives.
  • Collaborate on strategic asset allocation studies and portfolio construction initiatives.
  • Contribute to the management of unfunded commitments, cash flow forecasting, and liquidity planning.
Risk Management, Capital Efficiency & Governance
  • Partner closely with Enterprise Risk Management and Finance teams.
  • Evaluate investments through the lens of:
    • Risk-adjusted return
    • Economic capital usage
    • Rating agency capital models
    • Regulatory capital considerations
    • Liquidity implications
  • Develop portfolio stress testing and scenario analysis frameworks.
  • Identify emerging risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor evolving rating agency and regulatory developments affecting alternative assets.
  • Ensure compliance with investment guidelines, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.
External Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain relationships with leading private credit managers, sponsors, consultants, banks, and industry participants.
  • Represent Everest in negotiations with managers and strategic partners.
  • Attend industry conferences and maintain awareness of evolving market opportunities and competitive trends.
  • Establish Everest as a respected institutional investor within the private credit marketplace.
Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing private credit investment team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, intellectual rigor, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive recruiting, retention, and succession planning efforts.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration across Investments, Risk, Finance, and Corporate Development.
Qualifications Required Experience
  • 10+ years of institutional investment experience.
  • 8+ years of direct experience in credit investing and oversight, with a material portion of time in private credit markets.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large institutional portfolios and external investment managers.
  • Experience working with insurance company balance sheets, asset-liability management, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to evaluate complex credit structures and illiquid investments.
  • Leadership experience managing investment professionals and building teams.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • MBA, CFA, CAIA, or other advanced investment credential preferred.
