Cost Accountant, Accounting & Finance
Our client, a brilliant FMCG business currently going through a significant period of transformation, are looking for a Head of Supply Chain Finance to join the team.
This role's first project is leading the supply finance workstream for a major finance systems transformation across the United States and Canada. For a consumer goods manufacturer, cost of goods sold and inventory are among the most complex areas of the P&L and balance sheet, and this position owns that scope end to end: standard costing, cost roll-ups, manufacturing and purchase price variances, inventory valuation and sub-ledger reconciliation, freight and landed cost, and inventory provisioning for excess, markdown, and obsolescence.
The role spans the full project lifecycle of design, build, testing, data migration, and cutover, and works closely with the North America Controller, a Group finance transformation team at corporate headquarters, supply chain and operations partners, and external implementation consultants.
The right candidate will be a qualified accountant (CPA, CA or equivalent) with five to eight years of cost and inventory accounting experience, ideally in FMCG, CPG or manufacturing. Deep hands‑on knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis and inventory accounting is essential, as is proven involvement in an ERP implementation. Prior experience leading a team or managing external delivery partners is expected.
Dynamics 365 familiarity and private equity exposure are both advantages.
The role reports into the Finance Lead for ERP Transformation, is hybrid with three days a week in the office and carries a base salary of $160,000 to $190,000 with a performance bonus.
