Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Reporting

Base Salary: $150,000–$200,000 + discretionary bonus & benefits

Experience: 5–10 years

An established institutional investment management firm is seeking a Controller to partner with the CFO across accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and strategic finance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support forecasting, cash flow management, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Oversee accounting, bookkeeping, financial systems, and external vendors.
• Prepare GAAP financial statements, tax filings, and regulatory/client reporting.
• Track AUM, management fees, incentive fees, and investment performance.
• Support onboarding and transition of new institutional client mandates.
• Partner with Operations, Compliance, and Portfolio Management on reporting.
• Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, administrators, and financial vendors.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in asset management, investment management, or financial services.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred.
• CPA strongly preferred; CFA/CIPM a plus.
• Knowledge of institutional investing, separately managed accounts, and commingled funds.
• Strong accounting, financial analysis, and Excel skills.
