Overview
Registered Nurse - Post Partum - F/T Nights
Location:
Edison, New Jersey
- Deliver nursing care according to evidence-based practices, policies, and standards of care to ensure safe and high-quality patient care.
- Provide direct patient care as part of the interdisciplinary team and coordinate care with other caregivers.
- Direct and oversee care through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination; coordinate patient care and unit activities among nursing peers, physicians, and support services.
- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health, perform age- and disease-specific assessments, and monitor for changes in status.
- Develop and implement patient-centered plans of care, communicate plans with the patient/family and care team, and provide education as needed.
- Document care and outcomes, administer medications using safe practices and available technologies, and participate in discharge planning to ensure safe transitions.
- Maintain competencies and continuing education to meet facility accreditation or licensing requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:- BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire
- Six (6) months or more of relevant nursing experience OR active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program
- Ability to learn quickly, strong accountability, teamwork, ongoing education, and a patient-focused approach
- New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse License
- BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire
Skills and Abilities
Preferred
- National Certification in area of specialty (preferred when eligible)
Minimum rate of $45.73 hourly. Details regarding pay are provided in accordance with applicable laws and the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act.
