The Cardiac Services Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for assisting, monitoring, and managing the daily medical needs of patients within an inpatient setting. Working in collaboration with and under the supervision of a licensed physician, the PA or NP will provide comprehensive care consistent with customary and generally accepted medical standards.

Setting: Inpatient
Schedule: Two shifts per week, 12:00 PM to 12:30 AM.

Required Qualifications Education, Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Required

Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.

Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.

Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate).

National Provider Identifier (NPI).

Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.

Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
New Jersey Advance Practice Nurse License.
BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
Board certified by AANP or ANCC.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.

Education:
- Successful completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education.
Licensure &

Certifications:
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant License.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer platforms, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
