About the Role

As a BCaBA, you'll provide behavior analytic services to adults with autism and related developmental disabilities across residential, day habilitation, supported employment, in‑home, and community settings.

Working under the supervision of a BCBA, you'll help develop meaningful behavior support plans, teach functional life skills, coach staff, supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve the quality of life for the individuals we support.

What You'll Do Clinical Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive skill acquisition assessments, including:

  • VB‑MAPP
  • FISH
  • Essentials for Living
  • AFLS
  • Preference Assessments

Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and assist with Functional Analyses.

Develop, implement, and update individualized behavior support plans and skill acquisition programs.

Design and train staff on effective data collection systems and evidence‑based interventions.

Analyze behavioral data and modify programming based on client progress.

Facilitate Natural Environment Teaching (NET) when appropriate.

Conduct intake assessments for prospective individuals receiving services.

Observe service implementation and provide coaching and feedback to direct support professionals and RBTs.

Deliver consultations in person or via telehealth.

Complete timely clinical documentation, consultation notes, assessments, reports, and billing documentation.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate individualized supports.

Develop supported employment programming when appropriate.

Leadership & Supervision

This role offers the opportunity to develop leadership skills while supporting the professional growth of others.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide ongoing individual and group supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).
  • Complete RBT competency assessments.
  • Lead staff trainings, in‑services, and professional development workshops.
  • Model ethical, compassionate, and evidence‑based clinical practice.
  • Participate in ongoing supervision with an approved BCBA supervisor.
  • Attend clinical meetings, trainings, and agency events.
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field.
  • Active BCaBA certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Completion of the BACB 8‑hour Supervision Training and eligibility to supervise RBTs.
  • Minimum of one year of ABA experience.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain and maintain).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
  • Successful completion of criminal history, Department of Education, and Central Registry background checks.
Preferred Experience
  • Residential, community, adult day, or supported employment settings
  • Adults with autism and developmental disabilities
  • School consultation
  • Supervising RBTs and individuals pursuing certification
  • Assessment and treatment of severe challenging behavior
  • Developing professional development or training content
  • Familiarity with New Jersey Division Circulars, Supports Program Policies, and Community Care Policies
