Our caregivers provide:

• Gentle personal care: bathing, oral hygiene, grooming with compassion
• Repositioning and pressure injury prevention
• Medication reminders in coordination with hospice or palliative teams
• Nutritional and hydration support as tolerated
• Quiet presence, calming conversation, and emotional support
• Family education and reassurance — helping loved ones know what to expect
• Immediate reporting of clinical changes to the supervising RN
• Spiritual and cultural sensitivity in every interaction

All caregivers receive training in comfort care, emotional support, and family communication before placement. 24 Hour Home Care NJ provides orientation specific to end‑of‑life assignments, including communication strategies, signs to report to the RN, and family support guidance.

Qualifications:

• Valid NJ CHHA certification required.
• Prior experience with comfort care, hospice support, or working alongside hospice nurses is a strong advantage.
