- Provides verbal hand off to nurse and oncoming personnel. Completes handoff tool.
- Reports all observations to the Registered Nurse.
- Ensures patient safety by providing an organized and safe environment.
- Observe patient's environment for risks and hazards.
- Takes necessary steps to reduce the risk and provides report to the registered nurse.
- Assures patient's privacy and dignity.
- Observe patient's status for changes in behavior such as quiet, eyes closed, cooperative, agitated, loud or noisy, verbally abusive, combative, confused, talking to provider and visitors, walking, pacing, angry, hostile, talking to self, sexually inappropriate.
- Applies appropriate interventions:
Observe, redirect, diversional activities, notify RN. - Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adheres to HMH's Organizational and Managerial competencies and standards of behavior.
- Lifts a minimum of 5 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 5 lbs. and stands a minimum of 1 hours a day
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous hospital experience preferred
- Basic computer and math skills preffered
Minimum rate of $17.42 Hourly

Level of education attained, including specialized certifications, credentials, completed apprenticeship programs or advanced training. - Skills:

Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the organization. - Budget and Grant Funding:
Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
