About This Role
The Registered Nurse - OR Registry Abstractor is responsible for detailed medical record review and abstraction of clinical data for quality measures reporting. This part-time role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented and committed to improving patient outcomes through accurate data management.
Highlights- Location: Edison, NJ
- Schedule: Part-time, Days
- Perform medical record review and abstract clinical case records to support quality improvement.
- Manage the overall record retrieval process for collecting complex data elements from patient records.
- Complete all data input, error report analysis and correction, and submission of data.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of information collected and entered into the data collection system.
- Report data and variances to departments and/or committees during monthly meetings.
- Identify opportunities for performance improvement based on reliable data trending.
- Assess potential problems affecting the data collection process and coordinate follow-up for resolution.
- Learn and understand varied databases and project-related terminology.
- Participate in educational sessions and/or webinars.
- Adhere to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 6 months of data abstraction experience preferred
Certifications:
- Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required
