The DDD Family & Caregiver Training Liaison is a full-time, field-based position responsible for providing hands-on training, onboarding support, and ongoing assistance to families, caregivers, and staff throughout New Jersey.

This position requires extensive travel to individuals' homes and other locations throughout the state. The Training Liaison will work directly with families and caregivers to provide required and ongoing training, assist with the onboarding of family-hired staff, and ensure that caregivers understand and are able to meet applicable DDD requirements and best practices.

The ideal candidate is personable, compassionate, highly organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently. This individual should genuinely enjoy helping families and caregivers, be comfortable traveling throughout New Jersey, and be able to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining accurate documentation and follow-through.

The position also includes after-hours on-call responsibilities, providing support to families and caregivers regarding urgent questions, staffing or coverage concerns, emergencies, and other situations requiring assistance outside of normal business hours.

• Travel throughout New Jersey to meet with individuals, families, caregivers, and staff in their homes and other designated locations.
• Provide in-person CPR and First Aid training and assist with maintaining required certifications.
• Provide and/or coordinate CMT (Crisis Management Training) training and renewal requirements.
• Provide and/or coordinate PBS (Positive Behavior Support) training and renewal requirements.
• Provide and/or coordinate Medication Administration training and renewal requirements
• Guide newly hired family staff through required onboarding processes, training, documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure required training and certifications are completed and maintained within appropriate time frames.
• Maintain accurate and organized training, onboarding, certification, and compliance records.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource to families and caregivers regarding DDD requirements, organizational policies, training expectations, and person-centered practices.
• Answer questions and provide practical guidance to families and caregivers in a professional, respectful, and supportive manner.
• Identify training needs and provide additional education or guidance when necessary.
• Communicate regularly with internal team members regarding training, onboarding, staffing, and family needs.
• Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
• Provide ongoing support to families and caregivers to promote safe, effective, and person-centered services.
• Participate in after-hours on-call responsibilities, including responding to urgent family or caregiver questions, staffing and coverage issues, emergencies, and other situations requiring assistance.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect the privacy of individuals, families, and employees.
• Perform other duties related to training, family support, compliance, and service coordination as needed.

• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) requirements and services strongly preferred.
• CPR/First Aid instructor certification preferred. Candidates who are not currently certified may be considered, as In Good Company will provide the necessary training and certification to qualified candidates.
