Overview

Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Burlington, Vermont, United States.

Start date:

09/07/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: 2,876–3,131 per week. Guaranteed hours:
0. Shift: 5x8 days (Mon–Fri), 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. with call approximately 2–3 times per month. Assignment setting: hospital-based nuclear medicine department in a travel, temporary assignment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including administration of radiopharmaceuticals and acquisition of quality diagnostic images
  • Ensure patient safety and radiation safety principles, adhering to ALARA standards
  • Calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot gamma cameras and related imaging equipment; perform quality control and image processing
  • Document procedures and results in the EMR, with attention to accuracy and completeness
  • Collaborate with radiology physicians and technologists; coordinate imaging schedules and patient positioning
  • Educate patients about procedures and support during the exam; manage call responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification: NMTCB or ARRT-NM required; BLS certification;
    Nuclear Medicine Tech Certification Verification (Equivalency)
  • Experience:

    Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
  • EMR:
    Epic experience within the past 2 years is required
  • Transportation:
    Reliable transportation required; public transportation is not accessible in the area
  • Skills:

    Ability to work in a hospital-based nuclear medicine department; strong patient care and radiation safety practices
  • Additional:
    Must be able to work Monday–Sunday coverage per assignment notes; no block scheduling; willingness to participate in call 2–3 times per month
